About

Starting therapy is often a response to feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure how to move forward. You may find yourself repeating the same patterns, struggling to express what you need, or feeling disconnected from yourself or others. These experiences can be difficult to make sense of on your own—and that’s where therapy can help.

As a registered psychologist with over twenty years of experience, I help adults make sense of their inner world—whether they’re struggling with anxiety, low mood, relationship challenges, or a general sense of being overwhelmed or disconnected. I work with individuals over 18 in a warm, active, and collaborative way, drawing on a foundation of psychodynamic psychotherapy. Together, we explore your present experiences while also looking to the past for insight into what’s shaping your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours today.

In therapy, I listen closely—not only to what is said, but also to what may be just under the surface. By bringing more of your experience into awareness, we can begin to understand it with greater depth and compassion. Through this process, you may start to respond in ways that feel more free, grounded, and true to who you are.

My training was completed at the University of Toronto, where I earned both my M.A. and Ph.D. from the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE). Before entering full-time private practice, I worked in school and clinical settings including the Durham Board of Education, Peel Children’s Centre, and the Artemis Assessment and Treatment Centre. Throughout my career, I’ve had the privilege of working with many individuals through a wide range of life circumstances.

Therapy is a space where deeper self-understanding can unfold. My goal is not only to help you move through current challenges, but also to leave therapy with a stronger connection to yourself—and an increased ability to make choices that are both self-protective and self-affirming.
